The FISA hull was developed by the Rowing's governing body with the intent to have it be the standard shell design that all manufacturers would use. The goal was to eliminate variations in performance due to equipment variety. This plan was abandoned, but not before a series of shells were designed by a prominent Naval Architect. Due to excellent stability and performance these designs proved to be very successfull with numerous international victories to their credit.

In late 2007, we aquired some of the original molds from Durham Boat Company and began building hulls for them using the latest materials and techniques we had developed for our Mission line of racing shells. Recognizing the need for a low priced, made in North American shell with plenty of perfomance we decided to offer these shells ourselves. With our refined manufacturing process we were able to shorten the construction time dramatically which enables us to offer these shells at very competitive pricing. We recongnised the importance of price in the current economy and are pleased to offer these "Made in North America" shells at prices matching the Chinese imports.
